TRAINING FOR MOVERS

ACTIVITY 1: Read the following dialogue and choose the best answer.

ACTIVITY 2: Read the story. Complete the blank spaces with the correct word from the box. Careful! There are four extra words.

Last Tuesday, Zoe's father bought his daughter a present from the new bookshop in the town centre. It was a story that Zoe wanted to read about a   woman   who sailed round the world in a very small boat. Her name was Mary Banks and she was only 22. It was a very exciting story. Sometimes the waves were really big and the wind was very strong. She saw jellyfish, ________________ and sharks in the sea. She was often  ________________ but she was never frightened. When Mary came home, lots of people wanted to read about her.

There was a website about Mary's trip around the world and an e-book. There was a story about her on the back ________________ of Zoe's favourite comic, too! Zoe loved reading about Mary. 'Can we ________________  a boat, Dad?' she asked. 'I want to sail around the world, too!' Zoe's father smiled. 'I think that's a great idea, Zoe. But first, you must learn to ________________ !'

En la segunda, deben leer el texto y completar los espacios en blanco con una de las palabras que se encuentran en la caja debajo del texto. Deben ser cuidadosos, ya que no todas las palabras serán necesarias.

Por último deben decidir cuál de las tres opciones dadas es el mejor título para la historia de la actividad 2.
