Today we are going to talk about DOGS.

ACTIVITY N° 1: Answer the following questions:

1-    DO YOU LIKE DOGS?

2-    HAVE YOU GOT A DOG?

3-    WHAT IS ITS NAME?

ACTIVITY N° 2: Read the information on Cesar Millan (Exploring Science Page 95).

Say if this information is CORRECT OR INCORRECT. Re-write 

1. Cesar Millan is from Mexico. _____________

2. He is the founder of the Dog Psychology Center in Mexico. ___________

3. He doesn’t like dogs or cats. ___________

4. Cesar rehabilitates dogs with behavior problems. ___________

ACTIVITY N° 3: Read the following information on page and answer.

1.    Can we change our pet’s behavior?

        2.    Why is he called the ‘Dog whisperer’?

ACTIVITY N° 4: Read the interview below and choose the correct option.

1. Cesar doesn’t/ don’t train dogs to respond to commands such as “sit” or “stay.”

2. As a child, he spent/ didn’t spend a lot of time on his grandfather’s farm in Mexico.

3. He didn’t like/ liked to watch dogs play with one another.

4. His way of training came from the observations of dogs/ cats on his grandfather’s farm.

Buenas tardes, familias:

Esperamos que se encuentren bien. En el día, estaremos trabajando con información sobre el comportamiento de nuestras mascotas, en especial, de nuestros perros. Para ello, realizaremos una serie de actividades.

En el ejercicio n. °1, los alumnos y las alumnas deberán responder 3 preguntas generales sobre sus mascotas.   

En el ejercicio n. °2, deberán decidir si la información dada es correcta y corregir las oraciones incorrectas.

En el ejercicio n. °3, deberán responder las preguntas luego de leer los datos de la página 94 (¿Por qué lo llaman el encantador de perros? ¿Podemos modificar el comportamiento de nuestra mascota?).

En el ejercicio n. ° 4, deberán encerrar la opción correcta luego de leer la entrevista a Cesar Millan.

Como actividad opcional, podrán dibujarse con su perro/a en el parque.
